# 16×2 LCD Display Module (HD44780) — Description

The 16×2 Character LCD is a low-cost alphanumeric display module based on the HD44780 controller, capable of showing 32 ASCII characters (16 per line) in a 5×8 dot matrix format. Supporting 4-bit parallel, 8-bit parallel, and I²C communication (via PCF8574 backpack), it is widely used in embedded systems for user interfaces, real-time sensor readouts, and debug output with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, GLYPH, and other microcontrollers.
